The Himalayas subscribe for about 1550 miles or 2500 Kms from West to East from Nanga Parbat having altitude of 8126 metres above mean sea level which falls in Pakistan occupied portion of Kashmir and Namjagbarwa also called Namcha Barwa peak having elevation of,7756 metres above mean sea level in the Tibet Autonomous region of China .
Nepal and Bhutan lies between these Western and Eastern Himalayan ranges .
The Himalayas are taking its borders to the Northwest by the mountain system of Hindus Kush and Karakoram and to the North , the high and vast Plateau of Tibet .

If we talk of its expansion the width of Himalayas from South to North between 200 Kms to 400 Kms. The total area is about 595000 square kilometres . Thus the Himalayas the house of snow has highest peak Mount Everest .
