The Himalayas 's fourth highest peak in the world is 'Lhoste ' . It is 8516 metres above mean sea level. In feets it is 27940 feet .
The Lhoste peak is situated on the border between Tibet in the Autonomous region of China and Nepal in Khumbu region .

It is called South Peak as it is connected With South valley from the Everest .
It is first ascent by Fritz Luchsinger and Ernst Reiss in 18 May 1956 and in winter in 31 December 1988 by Krzysztof Wielicki .

This peak was attempted to climb in ,1955 by International Himalayan Expedition , headed by Norman Dyhrenfurth but due to unexpected strong winds they could not succeed and turned to North West face of Lhoste about 8100 metres above mean sea level.
